Middle Ring Road is an another example of urban highway. The interchanges at Taman Melawati, Kampung Pasir and Sterling Health were designed and built within 15 months. Foundation of bored piles were socketed in rock. The interchanges and at-grade roads were constructed in heavily trafficked roads with limited possession of access.

Jalan Tun Razak Viaduct and at grade works are an example of urban highways when bridge geometry in complicated shapes and falls has to be accommodated within a steel skeleton.
