The New Straits Times building at Shah Alam, " Balai Berita II " was constructed on a greenfield. With a built up area of 17,000 sqm, it is probably the largest printing press facility in South East Asia. Typical of industrial buildings, extensive use of steel was used in the frames and long span roof. The exacting demands of resonance free vibrations was met due to selection of piled raft for machine foundations. Special architectural demands were met due to good rapport between Client, Architects and Engineers.
